As I share my journey here on this blog, I have one rule- my family is off-limits. I am a mama bear. No mama-shaming allowed. We each have our own journey we must live… and this is about my life. I share it with you all in hopes that it can encourage you and inspire you along your own motherhood journey to make the best choices for you and your family.

I grew up on a small homestead in a very rural area. I have a love for the outdoors, animals, and music. I was formally trained as a midwife; however, after hundreds of births and a decade of experience, I decided to step away from my practice in order to focus more on my family. Occasionally, I may still assist other midwives or attend births as a traditional birth attendant but my family is my full time job.

Disclaimer: I am NOT a medical practitioner and I am NOT giving out medical advice. This site is for encouragement and educational purposes only. If you choose to follow any suggestions or choices discussed on this site, I recommend that you discuss them with your healthcare provider and choose what is best for you and your family.

I have been married to the love of my life for seven years. We have five amazing children. We lived off-grid in a tiny home for 6 years and recently moved into an on-grid small home while we save towards building our own larger home. We have a small homestead and raise a whole variety of critters.

I am a home-birth advocate where it is a safe option. I respect women’s choices and their right to choose what is best for them and their family- I simply ask you do the same for me! I hope you find this blog and its contents to be a blessing to you on your journey!

Sincerely,
