Comes and goes, ups and downs, when will the waves stop?
Nothing works, nothing helps- tea, crackers, pops…
Daily chores become so hard, Cooking? Are you for real?
It must be done, but when and how- can’t we just skip a meal?
But mother’s love it continues- through difficulty endures
In a few short months, it will ease, it will be o’re for sure.
Arms will be full, stomach will cease its every eb and flow.
Until that time, just keep in mind, “this too shall pass I know.”
All of life is temporal, a lesson can be learned
Even with the ups and downs, with all the twists and turns.
Just take one moment, take one step- one more sip of lemon ginger,
Just one more breath, this too shall pass- patient love forever.
